Who We Are?

● Provide short-term, need-based training for teachers of non-government primary schools, kindergartens and madrasahs on teaching methods and techniques, FLN skills development, classroom management, curriculum implementation, assessment strategies, climate-resilient education, education in emergencies, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching and learning, and other relevant areas. Such training will aim to improve teaching practice and help teachers maintain continuity of learning during emergencies and crises.

● Promote teachers’ continuous professional development through post-training peer learning, professional experience-sharing, exchange visits to observe classroom activities, and other appropriate professional learning activities.

● Provide regular learning support to children from disadvantaged communities in classroom tasks, homework, reading comprehension and learning practice. Organise learning catch-up programmes for children who need additional support to strengthen their foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) skills.

● Build teachers’ and relevant personnel’s capacity to prepare and use teaching and learning materials and other resources that support children’s acquisition of FLN skills.

● Strengthen teachers’ capacity to collaborate with parents, communities, education-minded individuals, educators, educational institutions and relevant organisations, and to develop partnerships that contribute to quality education.

● Subject to approval from the appropriate authorities, conduct research and effectiveness studies on programmes related to primary education; assess their effectiveness; and provide recommendations for future planning based on the needs of relevant stakeholders.

● Undertake public-welfare and charitable activities to support poor and vulnerable people.

● Establish or support formal and non-formal educational institutions or centres, subject to the required approvals, and undertake educational, technological and vocational learning activities focused on FLN, livelihood-related life skills, arts and science education, climate- and crisis-resilient education, and values and morality.

● Distribute educational materials to disadvantaged and poverty-stricken children and communities.

● Arrange academic, hands-on, and motivational training programmes to improve the practical and professional skills of adults with limited or no literacy skills, using appropriate learning methods.

● Raise public awareness on lifelong learning, maintaining peace and discipline, respect to laws and orders, cleanliness of environment, and community-development initiatives, particularly those benefiting disadvantaged communities.

● Establish community-based libraries and reading rooms/corners to encourage reading habits.

● Mobilise public and private support to assist vulnerable children and adults affected by natural disasters and other unforeseen crises.

Our Mission

  • Empower Educators: To enhance the professional teaching competencies, modern pedagogical skills, and crisis-resilient practices of non-government primary, kindergarten, and madrasah teachers.

  • Promote Inclusive FLN & Learning: To bridge educational gaps for disadvantaged children by building foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) skills, offering catch-up learning support, and nurturing lifelong learning habits.

  • Foster Stakeholder Collaboration: To build strong partnerships among teachers, parents, and community members, promoting inclusive educational ecosystems and community-based reading resources.

  • Deliver Humanitarian & Social Support: To provide swift, need-based humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations during emergencies, while inspiring community-driven development, climate resilience, and moral values.

  • Our Vision

To build an inclusive, educated, skilled and compassionate society where teachers, particularly those working in non-government primary schools, enhance their professional competencies through quality training to ensure effective teaching; children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, develop foundational literacy and numeracy (FLN) and essential life skills to support lifelong learning and build a better future; and vulnerable people receive humanitarian assistance and need-based support to develop life skills and live with dignity.
